Sam leaps into ongoing the Lone Gunmen investigation of the FBI Project Quantum Leap x-file. In other words, principle dramatis personae of 'The X-Files' and/or 'The Lone Gunmen' are treated as characters in a 'Quantum Leap' episode.
But, remember, no, Sam does not simply leap into interminable 'The X-Files' "mythology". Again, Project Quantum Leap IS an x-file! And that is this
situation which must give rise to the plot.
Why is Sam here? What must he do? Should he protect his secrets or help reveal the truth? What are the consequences either way? Might there arise any conflict between Ziggy's prognoses and Sam's own personal sympathies? How can the story keep pressing upon the dramatic conflict? What is the worst thing that can happen, and how can it get even worse?
