A flaw in the 'Star Trek: The Ship of Fools' LCARS user interface has been brought to my attention:
Specifically, regarding the LOGS display which scrolls by itself in the lower frame. And this can be a bit of a nuisance, because it won't stop once the user has located any item of interest which must be continually scrolled back up again, manually, as the auto-scroll script keeps scrolling down the page, just as it is supposed to.
(Also, the scroll rate varies no matter how it's set, and so it is difficuilt to insure a comfortable pace, not too fast to read or too slow to wait.)
And so, I am open to implimentation suggestions as to procedure for the addition of some sort of user stop and restart function (not to mention rate adjuster) to the auto-scroller. Can anyone help?
